Brief Message from Rabbi Gartenberg

This weekend will be a full one at Panim Hadashot-New Faces of Judaism. Two great seders are taking place, one on Friday night in Bellevue and a beautiful Tu Bishvat seder in Seattle on Sunday evening. On Shabbat afternoon, you can experience great learning in the early afternoon with the start of a series on great texts on the Jewish ethical tradition. In celebration of Shabbat Shirah-the Sabbath of song-you are invited to our Shabbat afternoon sing-along featuring favorite songs and table melodies.

A summary of our programming is now posted on our website at www.panimhadashot.com. Check the programs tab. This summary of programs will give you a sense of the unique educational and outreach approach of Panim Hadashot.

One more word on Tu Bishvat. The 15th of the Hebrew month of Shevat is the new years of the trees. A seder developed around this minor festival in the middle ages and drew from kabbalistic traditions. We will celebrate this beautiful seder with dishes from renowned chef, Emily Moore, and a unique seder drafted by Mark Solomon. I invite you to join us for this unique feast and celebration.
